Gusbourne Estate

Appledore, Kent

Gusbourne is a stunning English wine estate with 40 hectares situated in Kent and a further 22 hectares in West Sussex, close to the famous Goodwood estate. The original estate dates back to 1410 however the first vines were planted in 2004 by Andrew Weeber who saw the potential of the existing farmland and the Kent climate.

The wine making process is overseen by Charlie Holland who honed his skills in Australia, Germany, New Zealand and the USA before joining Gusbourne.

Crafting precise and direct vintage wines each and every year is an obsession for the team.  All of their wines are made from their own harvest and the grapes planted consist of the classic varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs is now firmly established as their most accomplished wine, having earned ten Gold or Platinum awards since the first vintage release in 2010. This year has seen further critical recognition with a Gold medal at Decanter Awards 2017, a Gold medal at TexSom 2017, two Gold at IWSC 2017 as well as Gold at IWC 2017.
