Bolney Wine Estate

Bolney, East Sussex

Bolney Vineyard has been producing wine on their estate since 1972.  Carefully building their world class reputation for their red, white and sparkling wines, the estate remains a family run business, created by founders Janet and Rodney Pratt.

The estate owns 39 acres, on which they implement methods which minimise the use of agricultural chemicals and fertilisers, with the aim of protecting workers and the environment.

Promoting biological diversity is core to the vineyard’s ethos and this encourages a haven for wildlife on the estate, including: deer, buzzards, rabbits, pheasants, green woodpeckers, butterflies and dragon flies.

Historically, the vineyard claims that The Prince Regent was a frequent visitor to Bolney when travelling to Brighton, staying at Bolney Lodge of which Bolney Wine Estate formed a part of in the 18th Century.
